News PHOTO CALL: Equity Awards Presented to Sands, Meisle and Quinton The Actors' Equity Foundation presented the Joe A. Callaway Awards and the St. Clair Bayfield Award at a Jan. 9 ceremony held at the union's Manhattan office.

Kathryn Meisle and Everett Quinton received the Callaway Award for their performances in the Red Bull Theatre production of Women Beware Women. The award honors "the best performances in a professional production of a classic play (one written prior to 1920) in the New York metropolitan area." The Bayfield Award - which honors "the best performance by an actor in a Shakespearean play in the New York metropolitan area" - was presented to Stark Sands for his performance in The Tempest at the Classic Stage Company.

This year's judges included Joe Dziemianowicz, Daily News; Adam Feldman, Time Out NY; Harry Haun; Playbill; Michael Kuchwara, Associated Press; and David Rosenberg, Back Stage.
