The cast of Metamorphoses takes their opening night bow at Circle in the Square March 4. Metamorphoses stages the great transformation myths of Ovid with additional material compiled by Zimmerman from other sources, including the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. King Midas, Orpheus and Eurydice, and Cupid and Psyche all make appearances during the evening, wherein they change physically, emotionally and mentally.
Directed and choreographed by Justin Peck, the show previously played an Off-Broadway premiere at Park Avenue Armory.
Whitney White is directing the Off-Broadway production.

The play by Amy Herzog officially opened April 23 on Broadway.
