Actor Gabriel Byrne and the company of Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Eugene O’Neill’s A Touch of the Poet are currently refining their skills in rehearsals for their Broadway opening on Dec. 8.

Byrne (A Moon for the Misbegotten) stars as Cornelius Melody, an lower class Irish immigrant in 1828 Boston who is trying to present himself as a “distinguished” gentlemen while dealing with the consequences of his daughter falling in love with a wealthy young American.
