News PHOTO CALL: Inside the 85th Academy Awards The 85th Academy Awards, hosted by Seth MacFarlane — and dedicated to music in film — were presented Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The evening featured performances from the cast of "Les Misérables," Barbra Streisand and more.

"Les Misérables," the starry film adaptation of the award-winning musical of the same name, took home three awards. Anne Hathaway was awarded Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as the ill-fated Fantine, and the film took home awards for Makeup and Hairstyling, and Sound Mixing.

Also taking home top honors at the 2013 awards ceremony were "Argo" (Best Picture), Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Actor for "Lincoln"), Jennifer Lawrence (Best Actress for "Silver Linings Playbook"), Christoph Waltz (Best Actor in a Supporting Role for "Django Unchained") and Ang Lee (Best Direction for "Life of Pi").

Performances included an opening number featuring host MacFarlane alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt; a ballroom-style dance with Channing Tatum and Charlize Theron to "The Way You Look Tonight"; Dame Shirley Bassey singing "Goldfinger"; a tribute to the resurgence of movie musicals over the past decade, including "All That Jazz" with Catherine Zeta-Jones, "And I Am Telling You" with Jennifer Hudson and "One Day More" with the cast of "Les Misérables"; Adele's "Skyfall"; a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch, featuring Barbra Streisand; and "Everybody Needs a Best Friend," featuring Nora Jones.
