James Brennan directs a cast that features Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, Minsky's) as the Witch, Hunter Foster (Urinetown, The Producers) as the Baker, Sara Jean Ford (The Phantom of the Opera) as Cinderella, Brynn O'Malley (Wicked, Hairspray) as the Baker's Wife, Stanley Bahorek (Spelling Bee) as Jack, Jennifer Cody (Shrek) as Little Red, Kevin Early (Tale of Two Cities) as the Wolf/Cinderella's Prince, Greggory Brandt (Les Miserables) as Rapunzel's Prince and Tim Hartman (Tale of Two Cities) as Narrator/Mysterious Man.
Completing the cast are Lauren Sprague as Cinderella's Stepmother, Kaitlyn Davidson as Rapunzel, Elise Santora as Granny, Stephen Carrasco as the Steward, Steffi Garrard as Florinda, Stephanie Maloney as Lucinda, Tracy Groth as Snow White, Betsy Lawrence as Jack's Mother, Paul Palmer as Cinderella's Father and Kathryn Lin Terza as Sleeping Beauty.
Here is a look at the production, which continues through Aug. 9:
The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
Based on the novel and film by Frank Cottrell Boyce, the new musical will reunite Guettel with Tony-winning Light in the Piazza director Bartlett Sher.
