Artistic Director Todd Haimes was joined by Laura Pels, Bill Irwin, James Steinberg and Paula Vogel in front of the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre as the building's marquee was lit for the first time. According to the official press release, "The Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre will allow Roundabout to continue its mission to produce new plays by established writers and lesser-known classic plays. Since leaving its Criterion Center theatres in 1999, Roundabout has been seeking a long-term off-Broadway home. Now with this new complex, Roundabout’s important work supporting the development of new plays will continue. The inaugural production is Intimate Apparel, a new play by Lynn Nottage, directed by Daniel Sullivan."
