News PHOTO CALL: Jason Robert Brown, Cloris Leachman and Original Film Stars Attend West Side Story Tour Opening in Los Angeles Original West Side Story film stars George Chakiris (Bernardo) and Russ Tamblyn (Riff) were among those on hand to celebrate the Nov. 30 opening of the show's national tour at Los Angeles' Pantages Theatre.

Ali Ewoldt is Maria opposite Kyle Harris as Tony. The cast also includes Michelle Aravena as Anita, Joseph J. Simeone as Riff and German Santiago as Bernardo. Tony Award-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction was recreated for the tour by David Saint, the associate director on Broadway. The original Jerome Robbins choreography was reproduced by Tony Award nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz, The Life).
