With the Jan. 7 closing of Jekyll & Hyde, the Broadway company paid homage to the two people for whom the musical thriller meant the start of career - singer Linda Eder and her husband, composer Frank Wildhorn. The show marked his and her Broadway debuts, which led to two other Broadway shows for him (The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Civil War) and her highly successful recording, cabaret and concert career.
"Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff closed Jekyll & Hyde, which ran 1,543 performances and 44 previews after opening April 28, 1997.
