Followed by a talkback session with the playwright, the reading featured Peter Strauss, Laila Robins, Marin Ireland, Debargo Sanyal, Patricia Conolly and Molly Ward. Carolyn Cantor directed. "One moment Julian Lawton is attempting to salvage his marriage, the next he is forced to consider whether life support could jeopardize the soul's immortality," state press notes for The Last Journey. "[The play] questions technology's role in the metaphysical. Will ghosts of the past cause Julian to glimpse the unknown and make the right decision?"
