News Photo Call: Julie White and Cast Prepare to Drive Down the Broadway Highway The Chicago hit Airline Highway is scheduled to begin previews April 1 and open April 23 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Cast members greeted the press March 17.

Julie White to Drive Down Broadway Highway


Tony nominee K. Todd Freeman and other members of the Chicago company will again be featured in the play by Lisa D’Amour (a Pulitzer finalist for Detroit) set in the world of New Orleans burlesque. The cast includes Carolyn Braver, Scott Jaeck, Ken Marks, Caroline Neff, Tim Edward Rhoze, Judith Roberts and Joe Tippett, plus the newly announced Todd d'Amour, Shannon Eagen, Venida Evans, Joe Forbrich, Leslie Hendrix, Sekou Laidlow and Toni Martin.

The Steppenwolf Theatre production is being presented on Broadway by the Manhattan Theatre Club at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, with direction by Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Assassins).

The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), David Zinn (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (original music and sound design).
