News PHOTO CALL: Justin Vivian Bond Stars in Classic Stage Company's A Man's A Man, Featuring New Music by Duncan Sheik Performances of Bertolt Brecht's farce A Man's A Man began Jan. 10, 2014, at Classic Stage Company, prior to an official opening Jan. 30.

Directed by Brian Kulick, A Man's A Man stars avant-garde performance artist Justin Vivian Bond as canteen proprietress Leokadia Begbick.

The production also features Jason Babinsky as Polly Baker, Bill Buell as Jeraiah Jip, Gibson Frazier as Galy Gay, Martin Moran as Uriah Shelley, Steven Skybell as Jesse Mahoney, Tony winner Stephen Spinella as Bloody Five, Ching Valdes-Aran as Mr. Wang and Allan K. Washington in the Ensemble.

The show is described as follows: "In this early knockabout, anti-just-about-everything farce by Brecht, innocent dockworker Galy Gay in British Colonial India is rather unorthodoxly enlisted into Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, where he is 'dismantled like a car' and then reassembled into the ultimate fighting machine."
