Smith May 22 at The Town Hall in an evening titled Remembering Donald Smith — A Memorial Concert.
Donald F. Smith, executive director and founder of The Mabel Mercer Foundation, passed away in March. He created the New York Cabaret Convention 27 years ago. For many years it was held at Town Hall, a building he was instrumental in preserving as a New York City landmark.

The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
