Tony Taccone directs the new production, which features two sections; Comedy on the Bridge, "an absurdist commentary on war written in Czechoslovakia in the thirties" with music by Bohuslav Martinu; and their adaptation of Brundibar, "an allegory of innocence triumphing over evil" with music by Hans Krása. In 2003, Kushner and Sendak published a children's book of Brundibar. At left, Euan Morton (of Broadway's Taboo) and Henry DiGiovanni are seen in photos from the production.
