News PHOTO CALL: Legends Inducted to Theatre Hall of Fame On Jan. 26, Marian Seldes hosted the 33rd Annual Theatre Hall of Fame induction ceremony, in which nine new inductees were celebrated.

The event, held each year, strives to honor those who have made a lasting impact on the theatre. This year's inductees included: Patricia Neal (actress), Julian Beck and Judith Malina (Living Theatre creators), Madeline Kahn (actress), Jane Greenwood (costume designer), Richard Wilbur (poet and translator), Vanessa Redgrave (actress), Peter Stone (librettist), and Kevin Kline (actor). Price Berkley, publisher for 40 years now of the indeliable Theatrical Index, received the Founders Award.

The ceremony took place at the Gershwin Theatre, the lobby of which is decorated with the gold-plated names of all 400-plus inductees.

At left are Kevin Kline, Helen Stenborg, and Frances Sternhagen at the ceremony, while below Judith Malina and Patricia Neal celebrate their inductions.
