Titled simply Bernarda Alba, the new musical “tells the story of a newly-widowed mother, who enforces her iron will on her large household, only to have her daughters overwhelm her tyranny,” according to production notes. At left, star Phylicia Rashad (Gem of the Ocean, A Raisin in the Sun) takes a moment for the cameras after the show. Below, cast member Nikki M.
