News   PHOTO CALL: Lincoln Center Enters the House of Bernarda Alba Federico Garcia Lorca’s classic play The House of Bernarda Alba is currently receiving a musical treatment at the hands of prolific songwriter Michael John LaChiusa and the Lincoln Center Theater. The production opened on March 6.

Titled simply Bernarda Alba, the new musical “tells the story of a newly-widowed mother, who enforces her iron will on her large household, only to have her daughters overwhelm her tyranny,” according to production notes. At left, star Phylicia Rashad (Gem of the Ocean, A Raisin in the Sun) takes a moment for the cameras after the show. Below, cast member Nikki M.
