News PHOTO CALL: Madeleine Martin and Mary McCann Star in Atlantic's Harper Regan Christopher Innvar, Mary McCann, Mary Beth Peil, Jordan Lage, Madeleine Martin, Gareth Saxe star in Simon Stephens' tale of Harper Regan to life for Off-Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company. Performances began Sept. 20 toward an Oct. 10 opening at the Linda Gross Theater in Chelsea.

Here's how ATC characterizes the new work: "One strange evening, Harper Regan (McCann) decides to walk away from her husband (Saxe), her daughter (Martin) and her home. She tells no one where she's going or whether she's ever coming back. She tosses family, history and fate straight up in the air, and it looks like she might be gone for good. In Simon Stephens' acclaimed play, which premiered in 2008 at the U.K.'s National Theatre, we are folded into an absorbing story about a woman who explores the limits of loyalty, morality, and the bonds of family."

Founding Atlantic Theater Company member McCann most recently starred Off-Broadway in Simon Stephens' Bluebird. She appeared in the original casts of the world premieres of Spring Awakening, Ethan Coen's Almost an Evening and Offices and starred in Annie Baker's acclaimed world premiere play Body Awareness at Atlantic.

McCann is in the company of Broadway veterans Christopher Innvar (Porgy and Bess), Jordan Lage (Race), Madeleine Martin (August: Osage County, "Californication"), Mary Beth Peil (Follies, "The Good Wife"), Gareth Saxe (The Lion King), Peter Scanavino (Shining City), Vandit Bhatt (The Great Recession), Mahira Kakkar (Sophistry), John Sharian (Bluebird) and Stephen Tyrone Williams (My Children! My Africa!).
