The Los Angeles engagement of God of Carnage, which reunites original Broadway cast members Marcia Gay Harden, James Gandolfini, Jeff Daniels and Hope Davis, officially opened April 13 at the Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre.
The cast is once again lead by Matthew Warchus, who won the Tony Award for Best Direction for the play's run on Broadway in 2009. In addition to the Best Direction Tony, God of Carnage also took home the award for Best Play and Marcia Gay Harden took home the award for Best Actress in a Play.
The piece, by Yasmina Reza, centers on the breakdown of civility when two sets of parents try to sort out a playground fight between their young sons.
