Broadway for Obama founders Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) created the event that aimed to educate and motivate members of the theatre community about the issues at the core of Barack Obama's presidential re-election campaign.

"It's intimidating, but we're up for it," Celia Keenan-Bolger said in a statement. "The only way we're going to win this election is by reaching out to people in swing states and showing our enthusiasm for President Obama."
The 7-10 PM evening, held at 405 West 55th Street, began with an information session explaining how individuals can get involved in the campaign, followed by phone banking.
A performance by Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little) and Nick Cearley (Next to Normal) of The Skivvies also took place. Visit my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gb734b to attend.
