Husband-and-wife actors Jason Danieley and Marin Mazzie joined the Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal at the Booth Theatre on July 19.

Mazzie and Danieley succeed Tony winner Alice Ripley and Brian d'Arcy James, respectively, as Diana and Dan Goodman, a couple dealing with a mother's mental illness. Ripley and James left the show July 18.

Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano also played her final performance July 18, and was succeeded by understudy Meghann Fahy in the role of Natalie. Next to Normal also features Kyle Dean Massey, Adam Chanler-Berat and Louis Hobson.

Tom Kitt (music) and Brian Yorkey (book/lyrics) penned Next to Normal, which puts a woman's struggle with bi-polar disorder and depression center stage. Next to Normal also explores the raw emotion of a family in crisis.
