News PHOTO CALL: Newsies, Once, Bare, Scandalous, Motown, Mamma Mia! and More Rock Broadway on Broadway 2012 Singer, actress, talk-show host and librettist-lyricist Kathie Lee Gifford hosted Broadway on Broadway, the annual free outdoor concert in Times Square, Sept. 9.

Presented by The Broadway League and The Times Square Alliance, the concert began at 11:30 AM.

Gifford, who is the writer (book and lyrics) of the upcoming new musical Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson, said in a previous statement, "I am so honored and thrilled to host this year's Broadway on Broadway concert. Over the past 20 years, Broadway on Broadway has become one of the most exciting and highly-anticipated events of the season, with amazing performances from the best that Broadway has to offer. And I'm looking forward to kicking-off a brand new theater season on September 9 with thousands of Broadway fans in Times Square!"

The event kicks off the 2012-13 Broadway season with performances from new shows and long-running favorites.

The repertoire for the free concert, which features a 30-piece orchestra, follows. Alex Lacamoire was musical director.
