News PHOTO CALL: Public Theater's Mobile Shakespeare Unit Production of Much Ado About Nothing Opens Downtown The Public Theater's Mobile Shakespeare Unit production of Much Ado About Nothing officially opened Off-Broadway Dec. 3 after previews that began Nov. 25.

Kwame Kwei-Armah directs the production with choreography by Chase Brock. Much Ado About Nothing will run through Dec. 15. The production arrived at the Public after touring to underserved communities and institutions in the New York area earlier this month.

Tickets for the Public engagement are $20.

"The Mobile Shakespeare Unit is at the heart of The Public Theater's mission to democratize our culture," Public artistic director Oskar Eustis said in an earlier statement. "Shakespeare is for everyone, the theatre is for everyone, just as America belongs to us all. It is an honor to welcome Kwame Kwei-Armah back to The Public and to offer his delightful Much Ado About Nothing to our audiences."

The cast features Michael Braun (Benedick); Rosal Colón (Margaret, Borachia, Friar Francis); Ramsey Faragallah (Leonato, Watch); Marc Damon Johnson (Don Pedro, Verges); A.Z. Kelsey (Claudio, Conrade); Lucas Caleb Rooney (Dogberry, Don John); Samantha Soule (Beatrice); and Kerry Warren (Hero, Sexton).

The production has scenic design by Timothy R. Mackabee, costume design by Clint Ramos and music by Shane Rettig.
