Rashad assumed the role of Violet Weston, originated by Tony Award winner Deanna Dunagan and recently played by Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons.
Original cast member and Tony nominee Amy Morton also returned to the production, succeeding Johanna Day.
The winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2008 Tony Award for Best New Play continues on Broadway with Elizabeth Ashley, Anne Berkowitz, Guy Boyd, John Cullum, Kimberly Guerrero, Brian Kerwin, Mariann Mayberry, Michael Milligan, Sally Murphy, Troy West and Frank Wood.
