The stage version of the cult novel by Merry Prankster Ken Kesey, adapted by Dale Wasserman, gets a shot of new life in the West End with star Slater. The production is transfering from a run at the just finished Edinburgh Fringe Festival - a run shortened by Slater's bout with chicken pox. Slater is the latest in a line of stars to take a stab at the lead role, from Kirk Douglas in the original 1963 Broadway production, to Gary Sinise in a 2001 Broadway revival.
The production is directed by Terry Johnson.
