News PHOTO CALL: Robards Clan Attends Altruists Opening March 6 w/Murphy & Buckley At left, diva songstresses Donna Murphy and Betty Buckley joined the Robards clan (that would be son Sam, film legend Lauren Bacall and, a movie man in his own right, Jason, Jr.) for the opening night performance of Nicky Silver's The Altruists at the Vineyard Theatre. Sam is currently starring in the play. Set among an eccentric group of New York do-gooders whose politics don't quite match their lives, pokes fun at leftists, fascists, sexists, ageists, racists and every other -ist and -ism movement in today's world, Altruists runs through April 8.
