Alec Baldwin, Christine Baranski, designer Tony Walton and director Dan Sullivan celebrate the benefit performances of Short Talks on the Universe Nov. 17 at Noche. Baranski was featured in a Steve Martin short opposite Kevin Kline as a couple with some hilarious secrets. Sullivan (Proof) directed the plays.

Short Talks on the Universe was a two-night only evening of world premiere short plays written and performed by some of theatre's best. Included in the evenings: Angela Lansbury and Chris O'Donnell in Terence McNally's theatrical ode Ghost Light, Boyd Gaines in Jules Ffeifer's E-Mail, Matthew Broderick and Tony Roberts as the Devil and a hell-bound producer in Jon Robin Baitz's Show People and Bette Midler in Nora Ephron's female rant I Hate My Purse. The Nov. 17 and 18 events at the Eugene O'Neill benefitted Friends In Deed and the not-for-profit Bay Street Theatre of Sag Harbor, NY.
