Sleep No More Hosts Halloween Masquerade Parties

In an effort to satisfy demand for access to the otherwise sold-out evenings, Sleep No More will be granting exclusive access to its Halloween Masquerade After Parties (immediately following each Halloween Masquerade performance) by putting After Party-only tickets on sale for each of the evenings.

As previously announced, from Oct. 27 through Oct. 31, Sleep No More will host a series of specially themed evenings at the McKittrick Hotel. Each of those nights will be shaped by its own unique concept, and will feature its own After Party. The After Parties, taking place inside the McKittrick Hotel, will feature various DJs and surprise guests.

After Party Tickets are priced at $25 and are on sale via www.sleepnomore.com. After Party Ticketholders will be admitted into the McKittrick Hotel at 10 PM, immediately following that evening's performance. After Party Ticketholders are required to abide by the evening's dress code.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, October 28: "Night of the Apparitions"
Dress in heavenly white.

Saturday, October 29: "The Last Rendez-Vous"
Dress in film-noir formal.

Sunday, October 30: "Aphrodite’s Revenge"
Dress provocatively, wear red.

The dimly-lit spectacle, loosely based on Shakespeare's Macbeth, takes up residence at the McKittrick Hotel (also a Victorian-style location made famous in the Hitchcock film "Vertigo"), a redesigned commercial space located at 530 West 27th Street that formerly served as a Chelsea nightclub. Sleep No More opened to raves in April.

Punchdrunk artistic director Felix Barrett directed and designed the work that takes a non-linear approach to its storytelling, allowing theatregoers to freely explore the dark environment, where scenes, tableaux and scenarios play out, conjuring the world and themes of Shakespeare's bloody tale. Audience members don masks and must be silent during the experience. Participants are encouraged to open drawers, pull back curtains, read private notes and journals as they navigate the shadowy, music-filled world.

The production has co-direction and choreography by Maxin Doyle and sound design by Stephen Dobbie. Design associates are Beatrice Minns and Livi Vaughan.

The New York debut of Sleep No More is presented by Emursive's Randy Weiner (The Donkey Show), Arthur Karpati and Jonathan Hochwald, in association with Rebecca Gold Productions.

The pricing scale follows: $75 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), $85 (Thursday, and late performances Friday-Saturday), and $95 (regular performances Friday-Saturday).

Premium access tickets, available for sold-out performances, are available by e-mailing [email protected].

Entry times for Sleep No More follow: Monday-Saturday at 7 PM, 7:15 PM, 7:30 PM, 7:45 PM and 8 PM. Late performances on Fridays and Saturdays have entry times at 11 PM, 11:15 PM, 11:30 PM, 11:45 PM and midnight.
