Clarence Derwent Award trustee and Equity Foundation president Carl Harms and Fritz Weaver flank 2000 Award winners - The Green Bird's Derek Smith and Aida's Sherie Rene Scott. Actor's Equity doles out the prizes to two New York actors in their membership. Established in 1944 by actor Clarence Derwent, the Derwent Awards have honored such performers as George C. Scott, Frances Sternhagen, Dana Ivey, Gene Wilder and James Woods. 1999's Awards went to Side Man's Robert Sella and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown's Kristin Chenoweth.
