Tony Award winners Stephen Spinella and Alan Cumming star in Off-Broadway's Elle, playing through July 31 at The Zipper. The production is the first for Cumming's new theatre company, Art Party.

On his official website, Cumming explains that Jean Genet'sElle "is about image, identity and celebrity and takes place in the Vatican where a young photographer has come to photograph the Pope, to create his image for the world to view. But, when the Pope arrives, he tells the photographer he is not that image, that he does not in fact exist." Cumming portays the Pope with Spinella as the Usher.
