Two ladies of television have transferred their skills to Broadway: Joely Fisher (formerly of "Ellen"), now appearing as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, sang "Maybe This Time" while "NYPD Blues"' Sharon Lawrence joined her Chicago co-star Charlotte D'Amboise on "My Own Best Friend."

All of Broadway steps out to give a number or introduce one (giving the plays a chance to speak) for the free concert, Stars in the Alley, held May 31 in Shubert Alley. Everyone from the newest additions to the scene -- Craig Bierko, Glenn Carter and Lawrence - to stalwarts like Rebecca Luker and Bernadette Peters, are on hand to sing and talk about Broadway theatre and the current season's offerings.
