News   PHOTO CALL: Suzan Lori Parks, Susan Blackwell, Christopher Shinn and More at Interviewing the Audience Opening Interviewing the Audience, Zach Helm's new interactive piece inspired by the work of monologist Spalding Gray, opened Feb. 10 at the Vineyard Theatre in Manhattan.

Playwright and filmmaker Helm — author of the plays Last Chance for a Slow Dance and Good Canary, and the films "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and "Stranger than Fiction" — performs his new work.

According to Vineyard, "Mr. Helm uses a method originally created by the late, pioneering author, actor and storyteller Spalding Gray: from the belief that everyone writes their own life and is a character in their own story, Mr. Helm invites theatregoers on stage for unscripted interviews from which emerges a surprisingly compelling and intimate theatrical journey for the entire audience."

Performances play to Feb. 27.
