Claudia Shear, playwright and one-third of Dirty Blonde, left the Broadway show Jan. 7. Dirty Blonde, an examination of the life of Mae West and the effects she has on two lonely New Yorkers, continues at the Helen Hayes Theatre, where it opened May 1, 2000.
