News PHOTO CALL: The 2010 Irene Sharaff Awards The 2010 Irene Sharaff Awards, honoring the art of costume design, were presented April 23 at the Hudson Theatre.

The Irene Sharaff awards were founded in 1993, and pay tribute to the art of costume design and honor the legendary designer Irene Sharaff. Sharaff designed many Broadway productions including the original stagings of West Side Story, The King and I, Sweet Charity and Funny Girl. The 2010 recipients include Albert Wolsky, the recipient of the TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for Costume Design, Ming Cho Lee, the recipient of the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design, Alejo Vietti, the recipient of the TDF/Irene Sharaff Young Master Award.
