The Best Man's stars Christine Ebersole, Michael Learned and Charles Durning celebrated their opening night Sept. 17 with actress Michelle Lee and actor David Hasselhoff. Gore Vidal's The Best Man, a three-act drama set at a 1960 Presidential Convention in Philadelphia, began performances at the Virginia Theatre Sept. 5. The revival (the original Best Man premiered at the Morosco Theatre March 31, 1960) runs through Dec. 31. Ethan McSweeny directs stars Charles Durning, Spalding Gray, Chris Noth, Elizabeth Ashley, Christine Ebersole and Michael Learned.
