Christopher Sieber, Lucas Steele, Susan Blackwell, Ana Harada and more star in the musical The Kid, based on a gay writer's decision to adopt a child. The New Group production plays Off-Broadway at Theatre Row.
Based on Savage's memoir "The Kid: What Happened After My Boyfriend and I Decided to Go Get Pregnant," the musical The Kid tells "the true story of what happened when sex columnist Dan Savage and his boyfriend decided to create a family," according to New Group notes. "Step one: Convince an adoption agency and homeless teenage mom that two gay men are the perfect parents for her child. Step two: Convince themselves."
The cast features Sieber, Jill Eikenberry, Lucas Steele, Jeannie Frumess, Michael Wartella, Susan Blackwell, Ann Harada, Brooke Sunny Moriber, Kevin Anthony, Tyler Maynard and Justin Patterson.
