The Roundabout Theatre Company held a joint photo op Sept. 11 to introduce the press to the casts of its upcoming Off-Broadway productions of Theresa Rebeck's The Understudy and Ordinary Days, the latter a new musical by Adam Gwon.
The Understudy will begin previews at the Laura Pels Theatre Oct. 9. Scott Ellis directs a three-person cast that features Tony Award winner Julie White, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Justin Kirk.
On Oct. 2 the New York City premiere of songwriter Adam Gwon's Ordinary Days begins performances at the Black Box Theatre within the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. This is the third production, and first musical, presented by Roundabout Underground, an Off-Broadway initiative launched in 2007 to introduce and cultivate up and coming artists.
Helmed by Marc Bruni, the small-cast musical stars Lisa Brescia, Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster, Jared Gertner and Kate Wetherhead.
