The event raises funds and awareness for The Ali Forney Center, which supports and advocates for homeless gay youth.
Benanti, a Tony Award winner for Gypsy, has also appeared on Broadway in In the Next Room, The Wedding Singer, Nine, Into the Woods, Swing! and The Sound of Music, and Off-Broadway in Why Torture Is Wrong, among other credits.
