Michael Countryman and Olga Sosnovska star in Manhattan Theatre Club's House and Garden, which opened May 21 on both Stage I and Stage II. Countryman is naive husband Giles, who seems keep missing his wife's obvious affair, and Sosnovska is Lucille, a French film star, making a publicity appearance at a garden festival, despite having a little too much to drink.

The plot of Alan Ayckbourn's House and Garden is typically farcical with marriages and careers on the rocks, colorful friends and neighbors and the odd sexual encounter in the bushes. What makes the twin comedies so special is that they play at the same time in two different theatres — as an actor exits House, she is on her way to an entrance in Garden and vice versa.
