Walton was awarded the Tony for his scenic design on Pippin, The House of Blue Leaves and Guys and Dolls. In addition to his Tony nominations, Walton was nominated for five Academy Awards for his work on "Mary Poppins," "The Boy Friend," "The Wiz" and "Murder on the Orient Express." ***
