News PHOTO CALL: Tony Winner Cullum and Son Celebrate 30 Years of Theatre at University of Tennessee Actor John Cullum (Urinetown) and his actor-son J.D. helped the University of Tennessee in Knoxville Theatre Department celebrate its 30th Anniversary on Sept. 12.

John Cullum is a graduate of the program and was awarded a lifetime achievement award from his alma mater to compliment the celebration. The Cullums recently co-starred in a production of The Dresser, directed by Gerald Freedman, at the university's Clarence Brown Theatre.

Seen with the pair is actor David Keith ("An Officer and a Gentlemen"), who got his start in show business when he auditioned for a production fellow UT graduate John Cullum was directing at Goodspeed Opera House.
