News PHOTO CALL: Van Dyke, Glover, Poppins and More at Ford's Theatre Gala Dick Van Dyke, Memphis star Montego Glover and the cast of Broadway Mary Poppins took part in a June 6 gala for the Ford's Theatre Society in DC.

"Modern Family" cast member Ty Burrell hosted a star-studded program with appearances by Renée Fleming, George Lopez, Lionel Richie, Robin Roberts, The Soldiers' Chorus of the United States Army Field Band, and cast members from the Ford's Theatre production of Little Shop of Horrors.

The evening included the presentation of the Ford's Theatre Lincoln Medal to South African human rights activists Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and Justice Albie Sachs, "whose accomplishments exemplify the character and lasting legacy of President Abraham Lincoln."

Among those in attendance were President Obama, Lady Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou and General Colin Powell.

ABC-TV will broadcast the show under the title "America Celebrates July 4th at Ford's Theatre" July 2 at 9 PM.
