Among the musical theatre celebs at the March 6 One Mo' Time were Ben Vereen, most recently of Fosse, with One Mo' Time star Rosalind Brown, and two Lifeers, Sharon Wilkins and Lilias White.
One Mo' Time, which ran Off-Broadway 1979, recreates one sultry night in 1926 at the Lyric Theatre in New Orleans, where greats like Bessie Smith and Ma Rainey wailed their sweet and blue music. In the show, Big Bertha's touring vaudeville song-and-dance act primps and bickers between numbers on stage.
