News PHOTO CALL: Victoria Clark, Mary Testa, Phyllis Newman and More Appear in Nothing Like A Dame Nothing Like a Dame: A Party for Comden and Green, featuring Victoria Clark, Mary Testa, Phyllis Newman and more, was presented Nov. 1 at the Laura Pels Theater.

Carl Andress (The Divine Sister) directed the 7:30 PM evening that celebrated the lifelong collaboration of Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The evening was dedicated to celebrated stage actress Lynn Redgrave, who lost her battle with cancer in May.

Tony Award-winning director Hal Prince was the guest of honor for the celebration. The theatre veteran shared his experiences of working with Comden and Green on such musicals as A Doll's Life and the Tony Award-nominated musical On the Twentieth Century. The writing duo earned Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score with Cy Coleman for On the Twentieth Century.
