At left, Lauren Bacall stars in Waiting in the Wings. Bacall won two Tonys for the musicals Woman of the Year and Applause and is, of course, best known for partnering Humphrey Bogart in "To Have and Have Not" and "Key Largo" as well as becoming his real life wife. Among Wings' "youngsters" are Dana Ivey (Tartuffe), Simon Jones (Ring Round the Moon) and Amelia Campbell (Our Country's Good). Waiting in the Wings, about a retirement home for old actresses, will preview at Boston's Colonial Theatre Nov. 13-28. The Dec. 16 New York opening will coincide with the 100th birthday of its author, playwright-composer singer-actor bon vivant Noel Coward.
