PHOTO CALL: Zach Braff Stars in West End All New People

News   PHOTO CALL: Zach Braff Stars in West End All New People Zach Braff began his West End debut run in his own play, All New People, Feb. 22, prior to an official opening Feb. 28 at the Duke of York’s Theatre. The production is scheduled for a ten-week run through April 28.

Braff, who is best known for his screen appearances in "Scrubs" and "Garden State," is joined by Eve Myles, best known for her role as Gwyn in TV's "Torchwood," Susannah Fielding and Paul Hilton.

Previously seen at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre, the play is set in the dead of winter, where at his wealthy friends’ luxury Long Beach Island apartment, Charlie (Braff) has hit rock bottom on his 35th birthday. Away from the rest of the world, this perfect escape is interrupted by a motley parade of misfits who show up and change his plans. A hired beauty, a fireman, and an eccentric British real estate agent desperately trying to stay in the country all suddenly find themselves tangled together in a beach house where the mood is anything but sunny, while Charlie just wishes they'd leave and let him get on with it.

Peter DuBois, who directed the Second Stage incarnation, directs again. He was recently represented in London by Becky Shaw, which he directed at the Almeida.

Prior to the West End, All New People played out-of-town dates in Manchester and Glasgow.
