York Theatre Company presents the first New York City revival of the 1989 Off-Broadway revue Closer Than Ever, featuring the lyrics of Richard Maltby, Jr. and the music of David Shire.

Directed by Maltby with music direction by Andrew Gerle, the limited engagement will continue through July 14 at the Off-Broadway venue, located in the Citicorp Building (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The cast boasts Broadway actors Jenn Colella (Urban Cowboy, High Fidelity), George Dvorsky (The Scarlet Pimpernel), 2011 Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime, Jekyll & Hyde) and Sal Viviano (The Full Monty).

Closer Than Ever, according to the York, is described as an "intimate musical about love, friendship, security, happiness — and holding onto those essentials in a world that pulls us in a hundred directions at once." Show times are Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Friday 8 PM and Saturday at 2:30 PM and 8 PM.

Tickets are priced at $67.50 and are available online at yorktheatre.org, by calling (212) 935-5820, or in person at the box office at the York Theatre at Saint Peter's.
