Classic Arts News Photo Journal: Deborah Voigt's Cabaret Debut Soprano Deborah Voigt appeared at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Allen Room on January 25, singing pop songs and standards as part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series.
A quintet led by pianist Ted Sperling, a veteran Broadway musical director, accompanied her.

According to a review in the New York Times, the show had a travel theme; Voigt sang Arthur Schwartz and Howard Dietz's "Paree," Cole Porter's "Come to the Supermarket in Old Peking," Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Bali Ha'i," Ricky Ian Gordon and Tina Landau's "Finding Home," Charles Strouse and Stephen Schwartz's "Blame It on a Summer Night" and "Children of the Wind," among other songs.
