The rarely produced opera, based on Corneille's play Les Horaces, tells the story of a violent feud between two noble Roman families. The libretto is by Salvadore Cammarano, who collaborated with Donizetti on Lucia di Lammermoor and with Verdi on Luisa Miller and Il trovatore.

Minnesota Opera's production is directed by Eric Simonson. The cast includes Brenda Harris as Camilla, Scott Piper as Curazio, and Ashley Holland as Orazio.

The production runs through April 15 at St. Paul's Ordway Center.
