Classic Arts News Photo Journal: New York City Opera's Afternoon Arias New York City Opera presented the first of three free lunchtime concerts in Manhattan's Bryant Park on August 12.
In the concerts, called Afternoon Arias, young artists from the company perform excerpts from operas featured in NYCO's upcoming season.

On August 12, Michael Corvino and Misoon Ghim performed music from Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia and Jee Hyun Lim, Anthony Pulgram, Corvino, and Ghim sang selections from Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Steven Mosteller provided piano accompaniment.

The concerts will continue on August 19, with selections from Mozart's Don Giovanni and Puccini's La bohme. On August 26, singers from the company will perform arias from Il barbiere di Siviglia, Madama Butterfly, and La bohme.
