Classic Arts News Photo Journal: The Glyndebourne Festival The 2005 Glyndebourne Festival, running May 19-August 28, includes productions of Rossini's La Cenerentola and Mozart's Die Zauberfl‹te.
Die Dauberfl‹te is directed by Adrian Noble, with design by Anthony Ward and lighting by Jean Kalman. Charles Mackerras is the conductor. The cast includes Eric Culter as Tamino, Lisa Milne as Pamina, Alfred Reiter as Sarastro, Aline Kutan as the Queen of the Night, Christpher Maltman as Papageno, and Claire Ormshaw as Papagena.

La Cenerentola runs through July 16. The director is Peter Hall; Vladimir Jurowski conducts. Sets are by Hildegard Bechlter, costumes by Moritz Junge, lighting by Peter Mumford, and choreography by Lynne Hockney. The cast includes Maxim Mironov as Don Ramio, Simone Alberghini as Dandini, Luciano Di Pasqual as Don Magnifico, Raquela Sheeran as Clorinda, Lucia Cirillo as Tisbe, Ruxandra Donose as Angelina, and Nathan Berg as Alidoro.

The festival also includes stagings of Smetana's The Bartered Bride, Handel's Giulio Cesare, Verdi's Otello, and Jonathan Dove's Flight.
