Photos PHOTO SPECIAL: The Evita Files — Florence Lacey With the arrival of the Broadway revival of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita, which begins previews March 12 at the Marquis Theatre, we thought it would be a great time to look back at some of the stellar women who played the title role in the original Broadway production.

We continue our Evita Files series with recent Follies star Florence Lacey, who was the last actress to play the role of Eva Peron on Broadway. Lacey, who won a 1984 Hollywood Drama League Award for her performance, also played the role in the national tour and in the international tour, portraying Evita more than any other actress.
